I have spent the last three hours catching up on GREEN news around the internet and I just can't hold this thought any longer.
This is about "GREEN" Corporate Companies.
It doesn't sound or feel right.
For me, a lot of being Green is about remaining LOCAL, supporting one's community, having a low but direct impact on the environment--none of which a Corporation can provide.
Corporate "GREEN Products" are also making GREEN appear a more expensive alternative.
Green really is and an be less expensive! For example, it is cheaper to buy vegetables and fruits at my Farmer's Market than my Corporate Grocery Store. It's less expensive to clean my house and laundry with products such as baking soda, vinegar and newspaper than buying Seventh Generation products, local entertainment like going to the Hermann Park, bike riding along the bayou, going to the Zoo or Museums is less expensive than the (corporate) movie theater or non-local band concerts.
