Organic Gardening - Junior Master Gardener Classes
Local business owner of Natural Living, mom and gardener, Lisa Hommel, is teaching a Junior Master Gardening clasess in Friendswood. 
Info for class follows:
Ages- K-12th (geared for 2nd-6th grade)
Two-hour class meets once weekly for a total of 31 classes, 9/14/09-5/21/09
Class time: Thursdays 3:30-5:30 pm
Tuition for individual class is $425 yearly plus a $50 registration fee. May pay $50 monthly Sept-May

The Junior Master Gardener class participants will get involved in
exploring their world through meaningful activities that strengthen
academic achievement, encourage leadership development, personal pride
and responsibility, and community involvement. Youths involved in the
program develop critical thinking skills, and the ability to identify
community concerns and take action to address them through individual
group projects. We will be learning about soil, fruits veggies & herbs,
Ecology, landscaping horticulture, insects and more.
All participants that complete the 8 chapters and all activities will
get the *Junior Master Gardener Certification*.
