Double Green: Volunteer and Art
By: Mona Metzger
September 2009
We all know that art is green--well, most art and mostly art cars. Many things that would have ended up on landfills adorn cars. We also know that no organization knows art cars quite like the Orange Show. If you don't, I must ask: where is that cave you live in here in Houston?
If you're feeling like a double dose of green, here's your chance: Volunteer with the Orange Show and help make mini art cars at the Bayou City Art Festival Downtown.
Here's the info:
Bayou City Art Festival Downtown
Join us for a wonderful weekend of art and entertainment!
We'll be in the Creative Zone, helping kids make mini Art Cars.
You can also help with more traditional festival jobs such as ticket taking, visitor information and artist hospitality.
Volunteers are needed to work Saturday October 10th or Sunday October 11th, during the following times: 9:30am - 1:30pm, 12:00 noon - 4:00pm, 2:30 - 6:30pm.
