TCEQ APPROVES FINES TOTALING $534,794
Fines levied against 83 entities

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $534,794, against 83 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one agricultural, 14 air quality, two Edwards Aquifer, one industrial waste discharge, two licensed irrigator, three multi-media, three municipal solid waste, nine municipal waste discharge, 10 petroleum storage tank, eight public water system, one wastewater operator certification, three water quality.

There were seven field citations. In addition, default orders were issued for the following categories: one dry cleaner, two multi-media, two municipal solid waste, eight petroleum storage tank, four public water system, one sludge, and one water quality.
