Sierra Club judged the schools based on 11-page questionnaires sent to 900 colleges and universities (and returned by 162).
Green Mountain College, the top scorer with 88 points, also showed well in the other nine other categories were considered: efficiency, food, academics, purchasing, transportation, waste management, administration, financial investments and “other initiatives."

EPA Awards Over $130,000 to the Railroad Commission of Texas
(Dallas, Texas – October 6, 2009) The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $138,975 to the Railroad Commission of Texas. The funds will be used by the Commission to perform mechanical integrity tests on Class III injection wells, and provide technical, drilling, completion, and reporting assistance to injection well operators in the State of Texas.

WOMAN USES RECYCLABLE BAG TO ROB BANK
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Going green helped a woman rob an Austin bank. The Travis County Sheriff's Office says a woman held up a bank Tuesday and apparently used a recyclable grocery bag to haul away the greenbacks.
Sheriff's spokesman Roger Wade told The Associated Press, after viewing surveillance photos of the unidentified woman with the green bag, that he's guessing "that's where she put the money."
Wade said the bag was the only one the woman has going in and coming out of the Regions Bank branch.
