The True Story of a Green Revolution
The American dream. Two car garage, picket fence, and a lush, green lawn. There is another way.
Georgia's Farm to Market is thrilled to take part in the safe lawns movement by screening A Chemical Reaction: The Story of a True Green Revolution on Saturday April 9th at 3:00 P.M. This 70min feature film outlines the origins of the natural lawn movement in the U.S. and Canada, and explains how this grass-roots movement for safe grass began.
It all started when Dr. June Irwin, a dermatologist, noticed a connection between her patient's health and their exposure to chemical pesticides and herbicides. Her lone voice of concern began one of the most powerful community initiatives in North America.
